Packaging and branding for Claire’s Body Scrubs

For this project, I was tasked to make 5 identical objects using a silicone mold, plastic resin, and wood. I decided to make jars of sugar scrub.

The first step in this process was making a prototype of my jar out of foam. I then made a silicone mold and poured plastic resin into it 5 times to make 5 jars. I made the cork lids by spinning a block of cork on a wood lathe. I decided to make a beer flight-type of display for my product. I used olive wood for this because of the density and the color of it. I used a plunge drill to make customized impressions for the jar bottoms. After that, I created labels and tags. Lastly, I made my sugar scrub!

Behind the scenes.
